Although this scene is massive in England I was just wondering if there are alike in Dublin. If you haven’t heard this music yet you are missing out big time.

This Friday, the 17th in the Redbox there is a psy-trance night. It's Neutronyx which was formerly moonemotions. These guys run the biggest psytrance night in Dublin, and I guess in Ireland.

The scene in Ireland is nowhere as big as the scene in the UK. I've been over to London a couple of times for psytrance gigs and it's huuuuuge over there.

The moonemotions lads put on a great night in the redbox, usually once a month and every now and again they throw a party in the temple bar music centre.

The gigs in the redbox are usually great with a nice friendly crowd (mostly off their rocker, but no scumbags) By the end of the night the place is pretty full, it just takes a while to fill up, which is a bit of a pity.

    Hi Verdidnt

I was at a moonemotions gig a few years ago. The reason I ask about the scene is that my brother, who is a resident with Tribe of Frog in Bristol, is coming over to play with moonemotions on Oct 1st in Temple Bar Music Centre. I was just trying to figure out how many bodies would be turing up. Unfortunately I can’t make the Red Box this weekend. Know of any sites that would advertise such nights?

    cheers

    Hi,

I've been to most of the moonemotions nights in the Music Centre and they always pull a decent crowd. They have quite a following so I would expect a good turnout. You can promote the night through various forums i guess. Try the forums on novadance.com or submit a listing to entertainmentireland.ie

I used to go to the moonemotions nights in the red box fairly regularly. If it's a good night, it's great craic, but it started going sh1te so I stopped going. The only good DJ there anymore is Markino now that Oskar has left, and he usually only warms up. Dr Fer bores the fúcking hallucinogens right out of me.
