the workmans club in DunLaoghaire used to have a gaming club.

Also there was one in dalkey as well.

ehhh.. if it's still going , there was a group (real roleplaying) in the oaks in dublin on sundays

If your in the Cork area both third lvl socs, Warps and the Guild, don't care if youre a student or not. You can come along and game regardless. Outside of Cork, i've no idea of the club situation.

stuff will be released when its time. i will be plaguing boards.ie when stuff comes out. racking up my negative kramma no doubt with numerous and shameless plugs and ads.

keep and eye on the PR section.

themes i like tho... how about a con where everyone;

a) wears black (some item of black attire)
b) everyone has facial hair (women exempt)
c) everyone has glasses
d) everyone is called brian

or the complete package! anyone who can be discribed like... the big guy, wearing black. he's got glasses and a beard.

hmmm, diablo 2 (clicky clicky) Lan competition.

use and editor or something to get a 10th level character (one for each class).

people get this character and have to go stitch stuff on the same server... idea is to get as much money and experience as possible.

players can either work in groups or alone, killing each other is encouraged. Access to the stash is denied

Seriously maybe something like AOE or Cossacks or someother relatively new strategy game might be worth a look across a LAN. Also you could try something like Icewind Dale multiplayer for a bit of a laugh 2 teams of 1st level mages facing off against each other

Ammendments to those proposals :

e) everyone must wear nu-rocks or their dunnes store equivilant.

f) everyone must bring tributes of beer to sate the thirst of the orginisers.

g) throw in some gaming across a LAN to get more boards ppl out there??

Apart from the fact that I am that man...
Quite literally...

But anyway, there is the Dublin Games Guild. They meet in the Teachers Club on Parnell Square on a Wednesday evening. I believe that the club is mainly wargaming and cardgaming, but a) that's loads and b) they'll give you table space to run a campaign or whatever.
