the shard will be up and running on sunday i now have 3 GM's to work on the shard including myself.

last night we started work on the capital city of the shard (trust me its l337)

A giant chessboard with monsters for peices.

ill be on icq from 10-4 then i wont be around but ill leave the server running.

if you need help setting up i can give limited support :P

other than that i cant wait till i find a permanent home for it

it takes a while to get into but its always fun not boring like LOM .....

what exactly do i do with all that stuff in server.zip ? i know where to put client , but sharace + loginace etc.. is new to me

ok the only things out of the zip you will need unless you are a GM is loginace and the client.

with loginace all you do is fill in the ip and username/password

shardace is a tool for gm's although i cant seem to get it fully working it is a good reference tool for item numbers / locations etc.

Race gates - Play as human/elf/halfelf/dwarf/gnome/pixie/valheru/Dryad
Each one has a different skill/stat limit so play around with different characters.

Character gates (available while beta only)
just to get you guys on the road there are a number of character gates.
Each one raises your stats to near maximum and your skills to master level.
Blacksmith
Archer
Armsman
Swordsman
Mage
Assassin
Theif

towns available
Magincia - 90% complete, all the vendors are named after boards peeps and the meeting hall has been called #fortress.ie the town message board is called boards.ie
Capital city (no name yet)
so far only 3 buildings have been placed as each one will be customized, this will also be a town for us GM's to work on new building deeds. (beware of the lag here )

Dungeons -
Wrong
(outside) - medium undead
level 1 - Orcs , bloodknights(will res u)and stronger undead
level 2 - ettins, ogre's, ogre lords, trolls
level 3 - Drakes, demons, Shadow demons

Despise
(outside) - polar bears, ice titans(in snow cave)
level 1 - liches, bone mages , bone knights, (deeper in)liche lords.
level 2 - (will have) Arch demons, ancient wyrms

anything else is just speculation for now.

im afraid all the GM's will have second accounts for special characters and Kurz King of theives is one of them.

there will be NO npc guilds instead there will be a maximum of 4-5 guilds run by the GM's.

so the theives guild will be run by kurz

Chaos Kinights will be led by Azreal using the character name "Lord BadenWulf"

Order knights will be led by me using the character name "Lord lysander"

Council of mages will be led by cr8or using the character name "Tyrial"

each guild will have its own home wich can be invaded
