I know on a lot of other boards, the mod would instantly have deleted and banned people who even used the word 'blow job', and currently this is the only thread that I can even come close to thinking might offend people (with the obvious homophobic references). It doesn't offend me at all, and I personally don't see this kind of thing as worth deleting, but if you all want me to start deleting stuff like it, and be a more 'active mod' by stamping down all over the place, please let me know.

I did say in my first posting (the sticky at the top) that I am completely open to suggestions from you guys about how you would like your own board to be run, and so far I haven't seen anything in there apart from one question about my own credentials (which is fair enough).

The only thing I can imagine a very active mod doing is banning people and editing/deleting posts, which doesn't go down well, or making threads sticky at the top or merging, which given the current size of this board is pretty redundant for now.

I took active to mean more of a presence generaly i.e. reply posts and the likes. Just to be seen to be here really.

I am here, but I have to admit to having a life beyond boards.ie

I understand that some of you may find that hard to understand, or possibly deal with.

This ain't no democracy, and I won't have my boards posting habits dictated to by a bunch of scrummy students. :P

Besides, it's quality, not quantity. I believe that in time you will discover my rare posts to be akin to rare gems. In the meantime, you don't need a daddy figure around, and if you do, you're already screwed in many other ways.

Now, off to bed, and no supper for you.
