Some laptop advice please

I'm thinking about buying a laptop. I've never owned a laptop and don't really know a whole lot about them, so I was hoping to get some advice.

I've narrowed it down to two different models. One has a 1.5GHz Intel Pentium M processor and the other has a 2.8GHz Mobile Intel Pentium 4 processor. It will need to be able to handle applications like Autocad, Excel, Word, internet and email. It won't really be used for gaming. Will the 1.5GHz do the job, or should I go for the 2.8GHz?

    Thanks.

Go for the Pentium M; after all what you want from a laptop is battery life and Ms keep going for longer then Mobile P4s.

Thanks. I was kind of leaning towards the M chip anyway, as the form factor of the laptop is a lot sleeker and lighter than the one with the Pentium 4 chip.
