Actually... Funnily enough I've never looked over the Role Playing boards, and this post caught my eye.

Yes, I used to play on MUDs -allot-, piticularly AvP (Alien Vs Predator), and T2T (The Two Towers), and a whole load of others.

But I don't play MUDs anymore, for the simple reason they get boring... I used to play MUDs because I'd like the mentioned theme, but going around as a hobbit and killing orcs in mordor (in the tolkien MUDs) wasn't very realistic, so I started playing MUSHs, which are textbased like MUDs, except instead of being a 'game', or a big killing spree, it's a Role Playing enviroment... And not you click-click Diablo type Role Playing, proper roleplaying. In short, I suppose you could call it instant fan-fic over the net, and everything has to be quite accurate, thematic, and 'canon'. Only problem is, it takes up allot of your gaming time.
