Opengl or Direct3D

    Just wondering if anyone can make a list of the most recent games. Which they preform better on OpenGL or Direct3D?

    You usually don't get an option to change i don't think but opengl is generally better.

    Ati card + windows == D3D
    nVidia Card + windows == OpenGL or D3D

    HL-engine Games or any pre-DX7 games that support OpenGL aswell == OpenGL always, as it will automatically take advantage of the HW TnL engines, DX6.1 games won't. ie. Half-Life, CS, NS etc.

    Tbh, pick OpenGL if you can.
    it's the original and best and it's opensource.
