    No,

You can create it as a DVD-Audio Disc which very few players will actually play.
Slightly more supported is to save them as mp3 files, a good few dvd players will play dvd-r's full of mp3's now.

Right. Well this is one of the Xtravision cheap €79.99 ones so knowing my luck it wont play the dvd audio thingy but I have managed to play mp3's on it that I already put onto dvd-r. I just fancied having something that I could put a sh*t load of songs on and let it just play away for parties and that.. Oh well. Thanx for the input!

You can fit a hell of a lot more mp3s than wav files on a dvd-r, What is the problem with using mp3s anyway?
A cd-r full of mp3s would do for all but the most drawn out parties.
