    Hi
I'm want to buy an Irish Tenor Banjo but not sure what type ie: 17 or 19 fret, anyone tell me what the difference is and what should I go for and if possible a price guide. I do want something that will do me for a while not just a beginner one.

My uncle makes banjos. I'll ask him next time I see him.
He makes em for all the big Irish banjo players. Apparently his are pretty good.

Thanks but it's a little out of my price range at the mo as I'm only a beginner. I have read on your uncel and he makes some fine Banjo's, maybe some day I might be in a position to buy one of them. ;)
