Ultimate Colossus - Gay?

Was just re-reading some of the early Ultimate X-men comics,does anyone else suspect that Ultimate Colossus is playing for the other team? During the Proteus story, ("World Tour"), Jean Grey makes a comment about peter wanting to be loved back by the one meber of the team he really loves, then somewhere in the most recent issue or two he refuses to make out with Dazzler. Just wondering....and could this person he loves be Wolverine???

Further to which, during return of the king he's trying to tell Wolverine something, but the ol' canukelhead shoots him down....hmm

I don't read Ultimate X-Men, but i thought it was well established he was gay. I've heard enough bitching about it on message boards, anyway.

No way, in the regular continuity titles him and Kitty Pryde were at it big style! Also, what message boards?

My other question would be why don't you read ultimate x-men?

In the MU, he was always straight. A little shy and he never actually did anything about the Kitty thing (in fairness she was significantly younger than him), but straight. In the UU though, as i understand it, they've made him a bit of a closet case. Hence, the messageboard bitching.

I don't want to sound like an internet bum or anything, the only other message board i post on is cbr . That's where i hear the bitching.

And i don't read Ultimate X-men because i didn't really like it. I only read the first arc, and i wasn't impressed, really. I loved Ultimate Spider-man and The Ultimates though.

Yeah but in AoA he was a complete coward and let kitty die. In standard MU he's a perfect power child for bravery in the face of adversity - esp the way and the reason he killed himself.

Probably the perfect person to play with in this way as well considering he's the opposite of every stereotype people place gay men into.

Millar has opnely admitted that Colossus is gay. Millar himself is gay, so I assume it's his way of venting. Most of it is harmless little jokes and asides, and Pytor appears to be in love with Wolverine or Angel. BKV has actually been a little less subtle than Millar was, come to think of it

Millars gay? I never knew that. I think it was established that he had the hots for Wolverine, I think it was established in one of the arcs with Magneto. Northstar was also flirting with him in recent UXM also.
