This thread is to list off what resources are available in Ireland for Koreans.

I only know the Dublin ones, so if anyone has any of the others post them.

    Korean Embassy
    15 Clyde Road,
    Ballsbridge,
    Dublin 4,
    Phone: + (353 -1) - 660 - 8800/8053, 668 - 2109
    Fax: (+353-1) - 660 - 8716.

It is near the US Embassy. If you are facing the public window at the US embassy, then take the road on the left and it will be a little way down the road on the left hand side (look for the flag). It is opposite the church.

    Hanyang Super market
At the back of Moore Street/Dublin. Coming from Henry street head up Moore Street and take the first(?) right then next left. It should be signposted in Korean.

They sell Korean and Chinese goods. The shop keepers also speak Korean.

    Arilang Resturant
Parnell Street (not the side near Moore Street, other side of O'Connell Street). It's not that hard to miss. It does mostly Korean BBQ. This is where you cook the food at the table itself. Expensive (for Koreans visting), and some of the food is not cooked to Korean standards (eg. Koreans I have brought there didn't like the rice, although the rice is normal for Irish people).

They speak Korean / Chinese and Japanese there. Certainly worth trying though IMHO. :)

    Korean Resources in Ireland.

    Hanyang Super market(한양 수퍼마켓)

At the back of Moore Street/Dublin. Coming from Henry street head up Moore Street and take the first(?) right then next left. It should be signposted in Korean.

Henry street(헨리 스트리트)로 들어와서 걸어오면 위쪽으로 Moore Street(무어 스트리트)있습니다.

They sell Korean and Chinese goods. Some of the shop keepers also speak Korean.

    Arilang Resturant(아리랑 식당)

Location: Parnell Street near O'Connell Street(Top of O'Connell st).

When I came here to Ireland, I found many Irish people knew about Chinese and Japanese people but only some Irish people knew Koreans.

Some people thought I was from North Korea and our president, Jong il Kim?? Korea that I meant was South Korea. North Korean government is isloated from this world.

In Korean way, we just call our country, Korea(we don't distinguish south or north)

I want to let you know Korean people have similar nature to Irish people on some parts and that Korea is the 2nd most developed country in Asia.

You may heard the brand Samsung. It's Korean brand.

I hope you Irish people will be good friends with Koreans.(Actually, Koreans enjoy pubs and alcohols all night long with dancing and singing)

So I'm very glad to get this board in Ireland.I heard many Korean students are learning English in Ireland.

I recommended this board to them and hope they join here to share many things like culure with kind Irish people. Thanks!
