Server what to do what to do.

    Anyone got any suggestions of what we should put on the server ?
    I'd prefer to put something non quake like on it, cos A) I'm sick of those games right now & b) we need to open ppls mind to other possiblities.

    Right now its got EF (quake I know) and Terminus running ( which noone seems to have ).

    Maybe a UO server ? Help me out here.

    Can BG2 run a dedicated server? I don't think it can.

    Just had a thought ...

    MMORPG's may not be great, as you have to emulate .. illegal etc etc. Also very small player base.

    FPS's - They have plenty of servers up already

    RPG's - Vampire / BG2 etc... could be fun.


    or ..

    One of the other RTS's - Like AOE2 or Black and White - pre organised team RTS games could be a good laugh.

    Both vampire and BG2 cannt be run as dedicated servers, which is a pity. But makes sense in the case of vampire.

    Can you run a dedicated D2 server? I don't have the game yet.

    btw, GPL is that actually out? Couldnt find it in the local shop.

    I thought netshop had a UO server set up already. btw, if you make it known that you use server emulators they ban you from UO.

    gambler hasent been that successful with the uo server and yep u would get banned.

    Well the chances of me making a return to UO are somewhat slim.

    As for GPL I'd love to put it up, but for that we problem of it hogging te entire screen. Fix that and the server will return.

    So how many ppl want a UO server and how many want a Terminus server and how many want something else.
