Circumvent Firewall - IM alternative to Hopster?

    Hi Guys,

friend of mine works in a company where they just blocked all Instant Messaging Programs from working.

Now she is using Hopster, but that messes up her system every then again (few times a day).

Are there any alternatives to Hopster? As she is a girl, and just a normal user, she needs something reasonably easy to use and install.

    Any ideas ?

    THX,
    DSAB

Nope. Trillian wont work. Your best bet is Microsoft's "Web Messenger", which I think is still in beta at the moment.

    http://webmessenger.msn.com/

Of course, it only works in certain browsers (surprise surprise). Another gem from MS.

To be fair, it works in firefox 0.9.3

Microsoft Web Messenger is the Absolute TIT'S. Its brilliant. Works everywhere i've tried it. Works with about 6 browsers i've used and the system admins can't bitch at you for installing ****.

    Get this its the Business.

as an admin myself i would see this page been used and simply block it. maybe they have blocked IM for a reason. If somebody in our place was doing stuff they were not supposed to be then you could be in for disaplinary action so maybe you should make sure your mate is aware of this -- just a thought
