Got my replacement 9800 pro today and turns out its an r350 core, boo, with hynix memory chips.
Thing is it oc's to 445 core 395 memory and is stable at that, which is way more than my old 9800 with an r360 core and samsung memory did.
I'm not complaining though cos i was expecting to have to throw thhe old card in the bin and shell out €200 on a new one.

Is there any point in flashing the bios to XT seing as the core is only a 350?

No it has to be r360 as far as I know. The xt BIOS enables parts that only the r360 has so you would get artifacting in some things.
