Home Studio Insurance (Rented Property)

I am renting a house with my girlfriend. I have a studio of music equipment (mostly electronic) that I've built up over a period of years, that is in one room of the house.

I need to insure this stuff - it's in the region of 20k-25k Euros replacement value.

    The snags are:
1 - It's a rented house, so I want contents-only insurance, not house+contents. This bombs out most of the insurance I can find available.
2 - Any company in Ireland that does contents-only freaks out when I tell them it's electronic music gear, and doesn't want to touch it.

There must be people in a similar situation - who in Ireland will insure for this kind of situation? I don't need or want insurance for it being out of the studio (stuff hardly ever is) - I want to make sure it's safe where it is, and if I move it, that's my risk...

    Clues please?

    /d

I was in the same situation before, 1210s, Mixer, Rekkas, got robbed and were uninsured. I replaced them and searched high and low for an insurance company.
    And here it is -
Brennan Insurances, off Merrion Square, SE corner(?) beside a really big pub whose name escapes me.
They specialise in this and will cover you for gigs too.

Cheers Behanj - I gave them a call (Brennan Insurances, 12-14 Lower Mount Street D2), but they are not offering this insurance any longer apparently, so they won't cover for musical instruments on new policies at least.

Any other clues? Anyone? It simply can't be impossible to insure this stuff in Ireland...?????

    Any help greatfully received...

    Try Barrington Insurance. 01-8217577
The main man there (Barry) is a musician himself and will know what can and cannot be done.
