Are gateway computers still in existance?
If not why the dig at gateway in the latest dell advert?
Or maybe an advertising exec just made an error.

What was the dig, exactly? What did they try to imply?

Not too sure... But I think they were talking about how some day, you'll never buy out of date products (queue a woman spilling a carton of [sour] milk - possibly with the classic gateway "cow box" design). Implying that Gateway stuff is out of date and a waste of money, as opposed to Dells "made to measure", "fresh" computers?
I haven't seen the ad in a few weeks, so that could be total bull****.

Probably aimed at all those people who bought Gateway and need a new PC. The message being that a Dell PC last longer perhaps?

Funnily, I've a Gateway and need a new PC. Don't think I'll be buying from Dell though. I'm gonna try and build one myself.

Great Idea. Stay away from Dell/Gateway unless you want a cheap pc or your a business customer.

Well the last gateways sold are now getting a bit out of date. My other pc was a gateway.I bought a dell (laptop) last week, didn't notice any gateway referances in the ads, must have worked on some subliminal level though!
