Can anyone recommend a good online hatter?

Specifically I'm looking for a pirate hat. Googling mostly comes up with costume shops with plastic hats. I want a proper tri corner leather one.

Have you tried googling for "milliners"? Allegedly that's the proper name for hat-makers, although I'm not sure how commonly it's used. The only thing I found that seemed relevant was www.cdockpirates.com, but I have no idea if they're reliable or anything...

question, where are you going to wear a pirate hat?
if you get a decent leather one it'd probably be pretty expensive, not the kind of thing you'd wear on a night out

I hadn't thought of where I'd wear it exactly. Perhaps when i'm out bucaneering.
I just seem to have acumulated a small collection of hats, and a pirate hat seemed the next logical step.

... err pretty much any form of decent hat beats a blue sparkly cowboy hat. (apart from maybe those burberry caps, or a pink sparkly one....)
possibly the most cheap and tacky thing you could wear.
i think what jim is talking about is a hat with style. you clearly dont know much about that :P
