Got NTL Broadband Max set up last Thursday, (Blackrock Area), and on Friday afternoon it just died. Modem RDY light didn't stabalise at all and was unable to connect. Since then it gives 2-5minute periods of connection, every few hours or so. Bit ridiculous tbh. Anyone else having these problems, or know what could be causing it?

Have you tried getting in touch with NTL?

If the rdy light keeps flashing, then it means there must be a problem with the server
check ntl's site to see what area's are down for the BB

Lenny could you post a link to NTL's site where it lists what areas are down.

    http://www.ntlworld.ie/help/help.html

click on the "Latest ntlworld server status" near the top.
I am not too sure if thats the English and Irish one, but just did a quick scan through the site. But I do remember seeing one which listed irish status too, maybe there is nothing wrong with the irish BB atm

NTL are very unhelpful on the phone. :(
And their site doesn't list any Irish connection statuses. Bah, as typing this it went again. Wonder how long it'll be before I can press post. Bah!

You're not the only one having problems with NTL.
Here is a letter sent to them from another unhappy customer in england (it contains some strong language).

    http://www.idg.se/ArticlePages/200410/01/20041001191137_SOS/20041001191137_SOS.dbp.asp

Scroll down a little to see the letter, the top part is in Swedish but the letter is published in its full in English...
