Installing Win2k on a s-ata drive

I was building a PC earlier today with the following specs:

    Amd64 3200
    MSI Neo Platinum N-Force 3 250gig
    36 gig WD Raptor

I went to install Win2k, used the F6 button and loaded the drivers. It found it, and I proceeded to install Win2k. All went fine until the first restart before it actually loads the OS.

It won't load at all, just stays stuck at the Verifying DMI dos screen.

The drive shows up in the bios, and I have the HDD as the first boot option.

I tried pressing f11 to load the boot manager, and I selected HDD, selected the raptor drive. It starts up this time with more information, but it only has Primary IDE MASTER : NONE
Primary IDE Slave : <second hdd)
    Secondary IDE MASTER: DVD-RW
    Secondary IDE SLAVE: NONE

In the bios it has this exact same config, except there are more for the SATA headers.
    Third Master: Raptor
    Fourth Master: none
    Fifth Master: none
    Sixth Master: none

So it is detecting the drive, but it's not bootable.

Someone suggested I look for SCSI as the first boot option, but it isn't listed.

I tried a few different software disks for the SATA drivers during installation.

Yeah you should have your boot device scsi, that how i have it working (dif mobo mind you). Or maybe if you enable boot other device in the bios that might help.
