I have the 450W blackline it was E90 iirc,it is silent, and the fans stay on for 3mins after the pc has been shut off which is a nice touch....if you ever turn your pc off ;) there are so many connections aswell i think 10 molex connectors, the rails are very steady aswell.Great psu...cant fault it. :D

Just the man! I know you like your quality stuff. I bought the very same one yesterday. It lasted all of an hour before blowing up!! Was just trying to determine if it was a one off (and I should get a replacement) or if they were cr@p (and I should get my money back).

Didn't want to lead by saying that it had blown up :)

    TY CC.

There generally a very good PSU, havent heard of anyone having problems with them TBH..... your the first.

How exactly did it blow? You mean puff of smoke, burning (did you have the switch at 110v instead of 220/240v)?

CC: Bought it from hitide.ie. Picked it up in person.

The guy seemed very nice. Told me that there was a 3 year warranty (and that the PSU was a quality one). I'm expecting a quick replacement. I'll post if I don't get one :)

Col: First, the computer just went dead (was playing UT2K4) and wouldn't turn back on, then I switched off the psu at the switch on the back, waited a while because it was very hot, turned it back on and heard a distinctive "pop" :) No smoke or anything, but I'm sure it's toast. I took it out of the computer then, worried that it might damage other components if I pushed my luck any further.

Unusually, there is no switch to turn it to 120V on the back, so it defo wasn't that. :)

Thanks for your input lads. Appreciated.

Just thought I'd put any doubts to rest....I got my replacement from hitide within two days. I just put it in yesterday and subjected it to 2.5 hours of gaming last night. It didn't even break a sweat.

I left one of the case fans powered by a standard molex (instead of PSU controlled) just in case, but think I'll change that this evening.

The last one must just have been bad luck. This one seems like a quality PSU. Very quiet. Rails looked good too.

Thanks again for all the help.
