Sting - Sacred Love Tour returns to Europe
    Autumn Tour - 2004

Following the overwhelming success of Sting’s previous European tour and subsequent return to America, promoters Clear Channel Entertainment and MCD announced today that Sting’s Sacred Love Tour will return to Europe this Autumn. Joining Sting will be special guest Chris Botti.

Sting plays a fully-seated concert at the Point Theatre, Dublin 16 November and the Odyssey, Belfast on 17 November 2004. Tickets for both Dublin and Belfast go on sale on Friday 03 September from usual outlets nationwide.

Tickets for the Point Theatre, Dublin from Euro 50 including booking fee. Telephone 0818 719 300 (ROI) and 0870 243 4455 (NI) or log onto www.ticketmaster.ie

Tickets for the Odyssey, Belfast from £34.50 including booking fee. Telephone Odyssey Box Office 028 90739074 or Ticketmaster 0870 242 4455.

As a musician, Sting has remained at the forefront of public consciousness for over three decades and has written some of the most enduring songs of our time. His latest recording, Sacred Love – released to both critical and commercial success – is a perfect example of this. As an accompaniment to the album, Sting released Inside: The Songs of Sacred Love a DVD, which allows viewers to join the artist for the very first time on his journey as he creates and performs his new album.

In addition to having released his tenth solo album, Sting has also published his memoirs, entitled Broken Music, which has remained on various Bestsellers lists since its release.

Of equally impressive note is Sting’s tireless support of human rights organisations. In 1989, Sting, along with his wife Trudie Styler, founded the Rainforest Foundation to protect both the world’s rainforests and their indigenous peoples. Together, they have raised more than $18 million with 13 benefit concerts held to raise funds and awareness of our planet’s endangered resources. Earlier this year, Sting was presented with the prestigious "Person of the Year" Award by the MusiCares Foundation. In 2003, Sting was also named Billboard’s Century Award Honoree as recognised at the Billboard Music Awards. He’s been awarded 16 Grammys, two Brits, a Golden Globe, an Emmy and received three Oscar nominations. He has also appeared in more than 10 films and starred in the Broadway play "The Threepenny Opera."

Through a special arrangement with Sting, American Express Cardmembers are offered the first opportunity to purchase tickets prior to the public. For a three-day period prior to each public on-sale date, Cardmembers may order online at www.sting.com/americanexpress .

Members of Sting’s Official Fan Club are also able to purchase tickets to most Sacred Love performances before the general public. Fans can visit www.sting.com for official tour, ticket and Fan Club membership information.

i'd say so. in fact wait till after the concert and I'll tell you. ;)

got tickets through the amex only site on wednesday and just to make sure, got 2 extra tickets this morning with the visa at about 1 minute past 9. :D

good job i did too cos despite ticketmaster saying they are still for sale, you can't buy them online any more which would lead me to believe they are sold out already.

    lucky me i guess. :D

I saw him in O Malley Park a few years ago. He was outstanding. He did an acoustic version of message in a bottle. It was superb. The guy really can sing....

Yeah I went... Wasn't really my thing at the moment but listened to his stuff years ago (5/6 yrs kinda time) so that's why I bought a ticket. The place was well packed and he did a good set but I thought it was a bit slow/dead (if ya know what I mean). Really enjoyed his support act Chris Botti! Real jazzy kinda stuff and great trumpet player too. Overall, was a good show and I had to check him out live sometime... Oh and he did a nice duet with one of his backing singers, that was pretty good too.
