I would say Capoeira=Physio Kinetic Joy to behold and to do!

Does martial really matter? I dont think so.

Do capoeiristas really concern themselves with martial or do they just focus on the beauty of what they do?

both.. I used to do it for about 10 months, but i not flexible enough to really be good at it.

    give it a go

Wasn't it a martial art designed as a dance so it wouldn't be recognized?

I've seen a clip of a guy training and the stuff he pulled off in stand-up competitions was amazing. It's definately something to behold and could definately improve you flexibility if not anything else.

    the caprobatics one

Thanks as well for the replies I just want to know how people generally feel about it - Cause I get a lot of stick for practising it all of which I dont really care to take much notice of(mainly from people that dont do or have never done any form of marshel art)

    Cheers

a bit of both I think.
It's definately beautiful, graceful and a joy to watch.
However when it needs to be it can be lethal. The momentum of those spin kicks could pack quiet some power I reckon, when done with intent.

yep was duisguised as a dance, they used to tie razors to theirs feet when they fought. Came from Angol through to Brazil with the slave trade.
