I got a be quiet psu delivered yesterday from jes in germany and when the pc is of the fan on the inside spins slowly. Is this normal or is it to do with voltage difference between here and germany (as far as i know there isn't any, i hope.)?
    Hope someone knows

Sounds like a floating voltage, know nothing of PSU's on computers, but if you make sure it's grounded to the case.
eh maybe someone else could offer more insight

Germany is on the same voltage.

If you mean the PSU fans move slowly then thats ok there supposed to ....... thus the quietness factor.

If your talkin about the case fans, then you probably have them connected to the "fan only" connector which runs the fans according to the PSU load, so when its idle they run about 5v or so........ very slow. Pop them in line with the hard disk / cd drive etc and they will run full speed.

If its another problem you will have to explain a little better.

He means the fans are spinning when the pc is off.

I don't know if this is normal, mabye its to keep it cool when the pc is shut down. They still create quite abit of heat when the pc is off.

The pc is turned of, except for the switch on the psu and the fan inside the psu spins (very slow).

Was thinking it was to cool the psu but that it generates heat when of i didn't know that.

Anyone have one of them psu's? (Be quiet 400W)

I have a bequiet 350W and it doesn't spin when the PC is off , I really don't see why it neds to do that....but unless it's making noise I wouldn't worry.

He means the fans are spinning when the pc is off.

Ahh rite, the missing f put me off. Thats totally normal with the be-quiets, its a cooling down period to remove the heat from your system........ should only last a min or two, puts the fans on very slow speed so it shouldnt make noise.

Some be-quiets have it others dont.......nothing to worry about, definetly not voltage related!!
