    Hi All,

First time posting here but have found the info very useful over the years.

Anyway, I could not afford sky any more so I cancelled it. I now have a perfectly good digibox (grundig) and all the kit as well as a card that no longer works.

My question is this, what is the best way to get value out of this setup?

    A. Sell my digibox, dish and all that jazz. If so how much will this net me?
    B. Get one of the FTV card everyone is talking about. If so, how much can I expect to pay and which is best?
    C. another option I am yet unaware of...

    Thanks in advance

    paulj13,
Keep the box and all the kit you can still receive BBC 1& 2 with it ,also if you buy a FTV card from e-bay you can pay up to £100stg or more for it &you are not guarnteed that it will work.Sky are supposed to be launching a service called Freesat later this year ,so you might be able to pick up one of the cards for this much cheaper when it happens.

hang on to the box, there are still a few decent free channels available, the bbc's for starters...

(also, tis handy for checking the listings :D )

Hmm, I should have added that I already have the basic NTL package so I have BBC1 and 2 as well as all the others that come with the basic.

If a use it for viewing the free to air is there an extensive listing of channels anywhere? Also, is there any way I can avoid see listings for all the channels I no longer have access to ?

    Paul
    Go to www.astra.lu

Follow the instructions and you will get a list of free to air channels.

It is not possible to view just the channels that are clear with a digibox. Sky want you to see what you are missing .
