    i didn't know how the title this thread but does anyone know of a program (preferbably free) that will record say the desktop and the mouse moving around and also in game footage.

    i tried frapps for games but it didn't see to work :confused:

    fraps definately works for games, but you end up with a HUGE uncompressed file in the end. Not the best solution. I found that since fraps was writing somuch data at once, my gaming experience nearly ground to a halt :( If only i had raid 0.

    As for general screen recording, google for "record computer screen"

    Not sure if it can record desktop, but it can record games.
    The free version has some stuff cut, like sound i think.
    But can still record games.

    Might be worth a try?
