Just a reminder about the Electric Picnic fundraiser.

All you need to do, is bring tents and whatever 'supplies' you usually
bring to events like this...! 10 Euro per tent-with all proceeds going towards
CLAPAI, again see www.dcucleftclimb.com for more information and of course purchase your ticket
for the gig, if you haven't already done so.
    Cost: €56 from ticketmaster.

LOCATION:The farm is located on the main Strabally to Carlow Road, 3 miles
outside Stradbally (which'll mean a communal hike both to the village and
    after
the gig which'll probably take about 20 mins).

It's for a great cause and hopefully it'll make for a great weekend!

Electric Picnic is one of the last big fests of the summer with a great
line up: Groove Armada, Super Furry Animals, Lee Scratch Perry, David Kitt...

The Electric Picnic - A Boutique Musical Festival
Just when you thought it was all over for the summer, POD brings you the
final summer festival to hang up your festival boots on a high - The Electric
Picnic - The Boutique Musical Festival on Saturday September 4th. The eclectic
line up Groove Armada, Super Furry Animals, Jurassic 5, Grandmaster Flash,
Arrested Development, Lee Scratch Perry plus band, Body Tonic, David Kitt,
Erol Alkan, Pump DJs, Soulwax and 2 Many DJ's, are amongst the quality acts
confirmed to date for this boutique style festival which will take place
in the intimate settings of Stradbally Hall a 500 acre estate (just 55 minutes
from Dublin in Co Laois.) The rolling lawns of Stradbally Hall will provide
the perfect setting for a feast of first rate quality music, entertainment
and food on its picturesque estate surrounded by forest. The Electric Picnic
will be served up across three stages, with a main outdoor venue and two
marquees. An entertaining aside is an International Comedy Stage and, for
those sporting music aficionados, there'll be a tent equipped with a screen
beaming the Irish World Football Cup qualifier - live.
Gates open at 3.00pm till Midnight
