Hiding an icon completely

I've got Bittorrent running inside in work, running the latest version of Bittornado.

Well, I have my downloads going, and the BT icon set to 'always hide', but all you have to do is hit the < arrow to see the BT icon.

Are there any BT programs with no Taskbar icons, and that can run silently in the background, so the only way to see it is through ctrl Alt and delete?

Replace the program icon for BT with a different icon,

Search for a .ico on your machine and select an innocent looking one, copy it into the BT program folder and the delete the original Bt icon and rename your new one.

You may need to restart the Pc for this to work as the image may be cached in temporary files.

    Hi

I think Frugu has the best idea but you can also try edit the registry
    ** HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\
and create the key or change
DisableTrayIcon : Setting this entry to 1 remove the tray icon

I know it works for Ultra VNC

    Regards

if you are going to hide it, how are you going to activate it - run it, when you need to chech the progress?

I would do what Frugu says

pick an innicent icon, like norton av's

    Cant get it working myself.

I've created a shortcut, and set the parameters to :

    "C:\.........\btdownloadgui.exe" -disabletrayicon 1

This is clearly wrong, as I get the 'failed' prompt when I open BT.

    Whats the proper command line?
