Your best bet is a second hand guitar. You could probably get an Epiphone LP for that kinda money. Nice and versitile.

To be honest you'd be better find a mate who plays and who knows something about quitars to go shopping with you. 100/150 just gets you past the utter carp quitars into beginner quitars. I reckon Yamaha are pretty good. Though you need to check is it set up of and the neck isn't like a bananna. Theres some good books out there, many of which will give you buying tips on what to check on a guitar. Try to get a deal that includes a tuner, as learning to tune is a pain and can put you right off.

You can learn on an electric too.

Of course, you could always go to www.thomann.de and search for Harley Benton. They do reasonable beginner guitars for sub ?200

Go second hand for sure. Scan buy and sell. See if you can get a Japanese made Aria Pro II from the 80's.

Aare Aria's Good? I have one that i got second hand. I liked its sound, had an okay pickup but I never woulda thought they're a quality guitar.

Model number AW-20CE if that means anythin to you

Yeah, for under €200 it'd be a sound investment, especially one of the Cat or Knight Warrior (I know, I know :D ) series with the Kahler Flyer tremolo.

They're not the greatest guitars in the world but they're better than anything you'll get new for €200. Don't tell anyone though, otherwise the prices will go up ;)

If you were gonna spend more money I'd say www.chrisguitars.com but for €200 Buy and Sell is probably the best you could ask for
