Keeping stubble right length

I like the look I have when my stubble reaches a certain length and want to have the same length stubble all the time.
I was wondering if there was a product I can buy to keep the hair this length.
I really don’t like how I look completely clean shaven I guise I prefer a kind of rugged look.
Is there a beard trimmer you can buy that has adjustable settings on it for this?
Could an ordinary electric razor like the barbers use be used on the face?

On some philishave electric shavers there is an attachment for trimming sideburns. On the shavers I've seen the attachment flicks up from the back of the shaver. I went through a phase of wanting to look stubbly all the time and I found that using this attachment on my stubble was pretty successful. If you run it over your beard it will trim the stubble down to around 1-2 mm length but it will never give you a clean shave. Do this every couple of days and you'll be able to maintain a stubbly look without looking like you have (or are trying to grow) a proper beard.

I love a small bit of stubble rather than clean shaven.. Think its much more sexier. Go DOC for wanting stubble!

    Ta very much Danni ;)

I might try that BrianD3 only problem is If I buy one It might shave too close or not close enough and I cant exactly test it out in the shop. What one did you own or do you recon they would all trim to about the same length (never used an electric razor I only ever wet shave).

most hair clippers have an adjustment on the blades (1-2 mm) and can give a decent looking stubble . If i havent shaved in a while (about a week) i usually use mine to trim my beard to make it more manageable with a normal razor.
a decent one will only cost around €25 and you can get them in boots dixons currys argos and in some powercitys.

    hope this helps

    Hiya,
I'm thinking that what you're after is a beard trimmer like you said in the first post...

The Philishave HQT764 is adjustable from - it says 1.5mm (though actually is shorter I think) through 8 settings up to 18mm

Like what de-shadow said a normal hair trimmer is your best bet. They're all very adjustable.. Mine goes from 0 (almost clean shaven) to 3-4 millimeters (quite shaggy actually). Most of the time I put it in the middle somewhere to maintain the designer stubble look. I never clean shave anymore and when/if I do I think I look weird.
