Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm more looking at browser based games the likes of Blacknova or Green dragon.

I was going to post a new topic but felt I might as well go with this one again.

I'm looking at hosting a browser based game and was wondering if people had any suggestions as to whats good. I haven't really been following this area in quite a bit.

I would say Planetarion is one of the best out there. That being said it's a few years since I played - it's quite a commitment. There are a few things a good webgame needs imho:
    • Tech tree - a good intelligent tech tree really makes a game enjoyable.
    • Team play
    • Handicapping - in that you're handicapped when attacking weaker players. So the newbs don't get used as farms.

    Yeah Planetarion was good.

Was really looking for an opensource one which I could host. Settled on blacknova traders and Legendof the green dragon.

Although my blacknova career was cut short by one Butcher of Nog, but I shall arise once more, ohh yes, revenge shall be mine ....
