IGP Motherboards?

    What exactly is this IGP? Is it a new version of the AGP slot or is it referring to graphics cards integrated into the motherboard?

    I think its used on laptops and the like with integrated graphics chipsets.

    My ould fella's laptop has an "ATI Radeon IGP" chipset.

    to me it looks like a new integrated graphics motherboard, i googled it and deduced that its sort of a nforce 2 motherboard for the socket 478
