    Hi

I am in the market for a second hand ultraportable laptop.. Some that is between say 12 and 24 months with a 1Ghz plus processor, 256/512mb of ram, 20+ GB hard drive and dvd rom drive as a minimum but a cd-rw/dvd combo would be advantage. I would particularly like one of the small Sony Vaios with the 10 or so inch screen and a decent resolution..

Intend to run Windows XP on it.

Anyone got anything or have any suggestions?

    Thanks

I thought most ultraportables don't come with optical drives? i.e. you have to dock them to use a dvd/cdrom, or connect an external one.

Not 100% sure, if this is the case then so be it..

None of them have built in optical (or magnetic) drives

What do you need it for?

I have a desktop that I keep up in Dublin but spend alot of time in Dundalk and its starting to annoy me not having PC. So i just wanted a really small/light laptop for convenience.

Look up Toshibas R100 nice laptop, no cd drive though, your best bet is the Sony Vaios, it would be the only ultra portable with CD drive, unless you go for new!
