Motherboard wrecked?

Think I've wrecked my motherboard (abit nf7s). I was trying my ram (ocz ddr 3200 2 x 256mb) in another system, when I placed it back in my motherboard I got a burning smell but didnt see any smoke. I keep getting a long continuous beep, which apparently is a ram issue. I tried the ram in the other systems again and it worked fine. I tried clearing the cmos, removing the battery, placing the sticks of ram in diferernt slots.
Is there anything else I should try, or should I start looking for a new MB?

Sounds like the ram wasnt seated correctly.

Check the ram seats for damage, got any other ramn you can try in it ?

I've had this happen to a friend before when we were installing more ram. Was the inside of the PC dusty at all? Because although the ram was seated correctly, it seemed that there was a lot of dust, and the contacts burned out.

I cant see any damage on the ram seats, I tried a stick from the other machine and still just got the beep

It would have been slightly dusty. Was your friends motherboard ****ed then or what?

No, it ran fine, it was the ram that got toasted.
