How do i go about getting the monies i paid into pension funds in companies i used to work for. It seems a bit laddish to just ring them however is this the only way?

Also i worked abroad for about 2 years - can i claim anything back - know any websites?

    Any help appreciated!

AFAIK when you leave a company you leave their pension scheme and should be given the option to receive a lump sum or roll it into your new pension scheme. There can be some restrictions depending on length of service etc. Ringing up might just be the best option - get the name of the pension scheme managers from your old company.

Don't know if it's of any help, but I worked in Germany for a few years and paid into the state pension. I can't get this refunded as I am an EU citizen. However, I reckon I might get a german pension when I retire. Based on the contributions I made, it might be as much as €2 a month. Woooo! If I was a non EU citizen I could have got a refund if I stayed less than five years.
