    Yes.

In fact the Coolermaster Stacker case has space for two PSUs, I'm going to be building a system around the case coming up to crimbo :)

    why would you want to?

Well the newer mobos have 4 SATA slots and 2 IDE which could be 6 juice hungry hard drives , then you have to of the line GFX cards with to power connectors, fans, water cooling, lights and all sort of stuff that can make a 500watt PSU crai in its cornflakes.

it'd be easier to put in two 50eur 350 watts than spend about 200 on one 600watt.

precisely what the others said if one psu wasnt up to scratch instead of spendin 70 on a new one i could get a less expensive one and combine them thus saving money

I tried using 2 psu's and couldn't figure out how to get the second to actually turn on. I I assume the motherboard tells the psu to power on and as i have only one motherboard slot for the psu molex how can i get the other psu to power on?

i presume by low power he means 2 x 300/350. They'd need to be decent psu's... 2 crap Psu's is by no means a replacement for one decent one

still the 6800 says 4600w recemended

4600.... Never new u could get PSU's that big :p

The 6800 is a power hungry GFX card anyway, the X800 less so... If i buy another Zalman I'll have 700w of stable quite power. Looin to buy a case with space for twin Psu's.

Could you use an AT PSU for the drives & fans
and an ATX one for the mother board ?
the AT being always on and powered from the power out connector on the ATX psu ?
