Currently I'm using a celeron600 (oc'd to 900) 196ram, 20gig hd, gefore2 GTS setup... which has served me very well for 3odd years now (maybe longer)... thing is, my bro is using this pc far too much now (he just surfs the web all day ... he has a hobby that's too sad to actually say here) ... we have iol BB...

thing is i've a final year college project which will involve using the pc alot (maths program & excel mostly) and of course with our BB, i might start playing games again (was a quake head back in the day) and of course movie and mp3 collecting... so obviously we need a 2nd pc...

straight up, i can't really afford anything, but i'm thinking

    A few questions I have ...
Would I be able to connect my ntl cable into that setup above and use it as a tv.
Even tho I should be pretty good at german, I can't figure whether it comes with speakers (i think it doesn't)
My current setup has a seemilgly coaxial style ethernet adapter thing... not the phone line style socket things I'm used to... can any1 brief me on this?
I'd want to network the machines and share the net connection... should this be strihightforward?

I use my machine (less in last few years obviously) for some gfx and webpage design... new monitor OK for this you think?

Really what I'm looking for, without being the BEST in every field is ...
    good speed for multitasking
decent gaming ability (i used to play quake on a p60... so 10000x100000 at 90fps i don't need)
good sound and vid. playback as a semi-entertainment centre
usb ports aplenty for camera, mp3 player, printer (and maybe more...)

also looking nice would be good...

    any tips?
