watch ricky gervais random and up and down as you'd expect from him but good?

    'Animals' was utter rubbish IMHO.

Every segment seemed to begin with 'I read this thing in a book' or 'I saw this thing on TV' or 'I saw this thing on the internet'. Considering Gervais's profile ATM I have to ask 'does this guy even have a life?' .... or does the most famous comedian of his generation really have to sink to the level of squeezing humour out of drawings of monkeys doing the 69?

Don't get me wrong, I think Gervais can be a funny guy but I would have liked to have seen a more personal performance and less of this 'you'll never guess what I photocopied whilst I was in the library!'.

Yeah I agree, it was bad alright. I've never seen a stand-up routine that was as boring.

I completely agree. It was just tedious and a bit childish, particularly in contrast to the excellent Peter Kay on immediately before.
