My youngest brother loves Paddy Casey and has been begging me to bring him to his up coming gig in the Olympia, the problem is hes only 12. Will they allow him in with me the fact that its a licenced premesis and the gig is on after the 7.30pm curfew for kids in pubs?

    Any helpful comment much appreciated

I don't think the Olympia has much of a problem with kids as the bar is separate to the venue. The first time I was in the Olympia for a gig I was five but that was a long time ago

You should be ok, just phone the Olympia to make sure.

Pretty sure because it's a theate kids can be there any time. Usually you're not allowed to go into the bar there without id and you can't bring drink out, so it all works out well...

afaik it should be cool, on the back of tickets one of the conditions is that under 16's have to accompanied by someone over 18

so bring the little bugger already

I've been there many a time, sometimes there was kids (accompanied), sometimes it was strictly over 18s (though many a young person got in). But always you could bring drink out..

I would be more concerned about adult content - was at the Dido/Sissor Sisters concert and some of the language and visuals were too much for kids.

For the really young kids yeah, but if they're around 12 or older then I think your concerns are unwarrented..

At Tenacious D there was a song called "F**k her gently" the nature of the song very much implied. Infact there's hardly a Tenacious D song without explicit lyrics in it, yet I had no probs that there were 13 y/o there. I had more problem that they often had their scowling parents behind them. Poor kids couldn't enjoy themselves.

    Buzz wreckers haha

It may depend on who's playing...
