I was having a problem with DMA, PIO Mode was enabled and The drive can do DMA so I removed the Secondary IDE but i uninstalled it by accident and now it wont install the driver correctly. I have tried pointing to the I386 folder and running Intel Chipset Utility, Im unsure what to do now.

Try uninstalling the parent device (if there is one) from device manager, then reboot.

I fixed it by disabling the channel, rebooting and reenabling the channel
