Just wonder what are the best places to buy third level math's books, in Dublin or online. I'm looking for a specific book I got out of the library, but at 110 euro plus shipping I'm wondering are there better places.

In Dublin I normally get them in Hodges and Figgis and online from Amazon, where you might pick it up cheaper used. Don't know of anywhere particularly competitive in relation to those. http://www.abebooks.com/ might be worth a try.

    What's the book?

Well Both water stone and Hodges and Figgis where 106 euro while Amazon was 110 excluding shipping. http://www.abebooks.com/ has the book for 66 us dollars including shipping. Think I might order it from them, any experience with them?

No experience with them myself, I just saw them mentioned on at http://www.spd.dcu.ie/johnbcos/finding_books.htm before and they stuck in my head.

Personally I've usually used amazon for picking up maths/physics text books, but tbh they aren't cheap. Occasionally I've found a decent text book in Waterstones, but thats usually the exception.

My uncle has used abebooks and as far as I know he's had no trouble. Try ebay as well, you can pick up a second hand one there maybe. I normally get my textbooks from amazon or Hodges and Figgis, I'd rather spend the money and be sure I'm getting one in good nick. If you buy it in town you look really intelligent flicking through it on the bus home.
