Hi,just wondering if anyone has been and whats the verdict?myself and my girlfriend are heading there in early October, heard off 1 or 2 people thats its really nice and from what ive read online it looks lovely..also does anybody have any advice as to how we can actually get a Hotel or Apartment that has a double bed instead of 2 singles cos anything we`ve looked at seems to have twin beds instead of a double bed, according to some travel agents ive spoken to most if not all Hotels/Apartments in Spain holiday destainations are the same, surely that cant be the case, surely if you request somewhere with a double room your request can be fulfilled without a surcharg, any information/links to websites would be grateful, thanks in advance. ;)

I've been to Corralejo in Fuertaventura twice (May-01, Jun-04) its a great island and a nice kind of subdued holiday lots of nice restaurants at reasonable prices, the night life is not as busy as the other Canary Islands and its also about 20% cheaper than the other islands.

In Coarralejo there is a restaurant called Blue Jeans steakhouse which has some amazing food Ostirch fillets, Steak covered in Jalepeno sauce excellent.

You could have a meal for two out from €20 including drinks, and the Slow Boat chinese reastaurant has excellent food. Beers are about €2 and up, coctails 4-5 dependign on where you go.

There are soem excellent beachs i presume you found the website http://www.fuerteventura.com/

Want any more info let me now.

Oh the bed situation it seems that everywhere I've seen has two single beds although I thought the hotels would have doubles, but its not that hard just to push the two single beds together.

Cheers for the info m8,too much hassle looking for a double bed so we`re just gonna settle for the twin beds... ;)
