If I was to transfer from I.T in NUI,G to say Languages and cultural studies in UL next year, what would the possiblity of being able to do so be? And would next year and the following years still be funded by the government under the free fees scheme?

The government pay for 1 year of each year (Exceptions being cert / diploma transfers to relevant degree, may have to resit 2nd / 3rd year government pays for that).

If you transfer from first year of your course into first year of another course you will have to pay for first year only.
