Issue with Photoshop 7 and XP SP 2???

    A mate of mine installed XP Service Pack 2 and Photoshop simply refuses to load now. He's uninstalled it, cleaned the registry, reinstalled it... to no avail.

    It loads as far as the welcome screen and then eventually just goes *poof* and theres no sign of it.

    Is there a known issue with SP 2? Any suggestions other then falling back to 6.0 as that still works on the machine (curiously).
