Watched a couple of the shows. It is an ok series, but I don't like the department of the homeland security pieces.

I am not sure if they showing all that is bad about DHS or they are trying to desensitize people to them. Some examples.
    1. One episode, a newspaper reporter is told to drop a story or they will make her "Disappear".

    2. A person is told to be co-operative or they can get all their phones tapped without a warrent and information can be blackmailed from them.

    3. A person is blackmailed to find evidence on a reporter

    4. Same reporter later on is arrested with the evidence (which would of been thrown out of court).

    5. A person in hospital is taken from his sickbed without being arrested and made to "Disappear".

    6. A bomber is arrested and read his rights of "You will be treated as a terrorist, You do not have the right to remain silent, you do not have the right to a lawyer, you do not have the right to a trial, etc".

Disturbing. Apart from that the show is ok'ish.

I was thinking about "watching" it as well but chose not to. I'll wait till Sky shows it. How do you think it compares to something like Taken or other sci-fi shows in the past?

It is not what you think it is.

Yea I am talking about that. However I've seen about 5 episodes and it explains more of what is going on and it is not about what you think it is about.

Don't want to put it as a spoiler. :)

You've only seen about 5, cos there are only five (so far, anyway). Seems like it is likely to come back for a second run.

I did enjoy it - the pilot was especially strong - but it did drop in quality after that.

Some good actors there, though, even if I couldn't remember the name of the Home Sec female detective for almost all of its run.
And I think it would have been stronger if they didn't go so far in explaining the reasons why the 4,400 had been abducted so early on in the series
