Irish Pub work in PARIS!

    I'd like to know if anyone has had any experience working in Irish pubs in Paris?
    Ive a good level of frenchIm planning to work in one next summer or the summer after that. Ive looked up a few sites of some pubs and they have some ads up for irish people who can speak french.
    What id like to find out is
    1.Does the owner of the pub provide accomodation for you?
    2.Do owners genarally hire irish students for the summer?
    3.What was the salary like?

    If you or any friends,acquaintances etc have done this i would really appreciate any information you have :D !.

    1. Nope, not very often. Only heard of some of the bigger pubs doing so but that was after the person had begun working there and proved that they were worth it.

    2. Yes they're generally looking for people the summer but only the larger places will hire people knowing that they're gonna leave in 3 months time.

    3. The salary over here is pretty crap. If you can get work in a small bar it's better but in that case they normally expect you to stay a little longer than 3 months because of that. A lot of the larger pubs feel that because you'" working in Paris it's half of the pay. Working in Paris is something you do for fun and not something you do to actually make/save money.
    I don't have any actual figures (not always a topic of conversation!) but on average, no matter what type of work you do, Irish wages are higher than those in France.
