yeah i saw this. thought it was pretty entertaining. unfortunately i'd already read that it was a hoax, just a marketing ploy, so it didn't exactly fool me. my sister got pretty into it though, even a little bit spooked.
sci-fi are actually getting into trouble over the way they misled people in the media in the build up, pretending to have fallen out with night over the "shocking secrets" they uncovered in their unauthorised exposé.

i cant believe people are so touchy about a piece of creative marketing.

all in all it was pretty creative and much better than a crappy trailer or "making of" for "The Village".
it'd be cool if more filmmakers were as creative as this about their movies.

yea i knew about half way through that it was a hoax,

but A+++ on the creativity, i enjoyed the whole thing immencilly (cant spell)

It was a nice effort, but not particularly great.. and it seemed to go on for far too long... I tuned out before the end...

I liked interview with Johnny Depp where he says all the pre-writen responses that he was given from Shyamalan for when certain questions were asked. And then when they interview Andrien Brody he comes out with all the same responses as if they were his own.


Too bad the film 'The Village' itself is just like watching an episode of the Outer Limits.

I caught some of this, saw 5 minutes of it and it was painfully obvious it was a hoax. I personally didn't think it was very interesting at all.

This was on Five last Saturday as well. At least it wasn't as hyped here as in the US where the impression was very much given that Shyamalan had kicked the film crew off the set because they'd 'uncovered' some dark secret which the doc would reveal.
