    in a few weeks me and a few of my comrades will have to make the following journeys:

    Brussels --> Amsterdam

    Amsterdam --> Paris

    Paris --> Brussels

    we will be making these trips by train

    i've tried to get prices for these but have been unsuccessful

    does anyone know how much these trips individually will cost?

    is it worth getting an interrail pass since we are only going for about 10 daze and we arnt really going to be railing that much and it will cost us 250euro+

    we went interrailing last year so we arnt clueless but we never had to pay any full fares for trains.

    any help would be great.

    cheers

    well there are 2 ways you could do it,

    one is the high speed service the thalys (http://www.thalys.com)
    it runs direct between paris gare du nord and amsterdam centraal via brussells south

    the other is way is the corail service, (slow train) between brussells and amsterdam, with the TGV between paris and brussells

    hope this is of help

    Great service. I went Amsterdam - Paris 3 years ago, but can't remember the price.

    The French rail (SNCF) website has a ticket booking service in english, you can get the tickets delivered or collect them in stations.

    Could be wrong but thought they were really crap about delivery or collection or something. Maybe it was cos I was buying them too close to the time but their delivery options sucked and amazingly I couldn't collect my tickets in Germany despite the fact I was getting it direct to Paris. Anyway they were def. cheaper than Deutche Bann for the same trip at the same time.

    Bus Eireann or Iaran Rod Eireann (seriously!) have some service too where you can get them to book your tickets on these lines for a small (?) fee. They were pretty decent when I rang and held the tickets for me without details just my name. Didn't use them in the end though.

    Good luck!

    It's better to book in advance because there's a good chance of getting one of the special offers, which make it alot cheaper to travel.

    You're wrong. Kind of. If you're booking within seven days then you can't get the tickets delivered. Outside seven days, you can get them delivered and it's amazingly efficient. Once I ordered tickets late Wednesday night and they were on my doorstep Friday morning.

    Ah yeah I knew I probably sounded harsh but I remember it pissed me off I couldn't just collect them from the overly-efficient German station or something like that, and that the price varied so much for the same quality, distance and time. But then again I wasn't booking a week ahead.

    That's travel for ya. ;)

    Go to the offcial Belgian Railways website that gives the option of printing your own tickets.
    https://www.b-europe.com
    For Paris to Brussels (s an alternative to the Thalys) there is a low cost non high speed train called Izy https://www.b-europe.com/EN/Trains/IZY

    +1

    for trips between Benelux/ Germany / France that Belgian site is the business as they show the Bahn and Thalys and SNCF fares , listed all alongside each other at the original operator prices.
