Is there any way to remove the recyle bin from XP desktop? Don't use it at all. Also, when on laptop and I close the lid, it goes to another screen where you have to click your username to log back in to your session. a little app called tweak xp will allow you to get rid of the recycle bin from the desktop.

To disable log out try this: Right click on desktop got to properties, then screen saver and uncheck "On resume, password protect".
