Esat BB outage, followed by connection problem

My Esat broadband connection went down yesterday, I can't get my router to connect, it's a NetGear ADSL Firewall Router G834. I've configured it to use the correct DNS/Gateway addresses and the signal light is steady, but I'm not getting any upstream or downstream data.

I can't find anything similar on the forums and Esat won't support a router that they haven't issued, so I'd be grateful for any suggestions anyone might have.

Cycling the power a few times on my one does the trick when this happens.

... but it's not getting me anywhere. This is the second router I've tried as well. If it wasn't for the steady signal light, I'd imagine it was the connection

I've gone back to the default esat-supplied modem. Sheesh
