Anyone been? Going for just two days, arriving Friday night (partying), Saturday day (looking for things to do), Saturday night (partying), and leaving Sunday afternoon. I love good museums and historical sights, if you've been to any there please give me your opinion :)

I stopped off there to go to an Irish pub to watch a Dublin - Meath match once. Can't say I saw much of the place but what I saw was nice.

My dad was there a few years ago - he was in his 50s so I dont think he could recommend any good party spots, but he said it was absolutely beautiful, great spot for a weekend.

You must go to Heidelberg Schloss (Castle) and the oldtown. Also the old bridge (altbrucke) crossing the Neckar. Go on the Philosphers Walk also (make sure to pm about that if you go there) Heidelberg in general is on an amazing backdrop of mountains and forests, just amazing. I have a touristy map if u want i can scan it and have a chat over aim/msn/yahoo if ur not gone already

Was there a few years back. Only for a night though. The castle is worth a visit, great view from the top of the hill. We took a paddle boat out on the river too. Lots of places to eat and drink in the evening.

Damnit - Heidelburg RULES! What a 40 hours! Lovely city, extremely beautiful. Very friendly people, who are also amazingly beautiful compared to us Irish (IMO). The castle is lovely, stunning views. Bars and nightclubs very much fun. Cheap to go out, cheap to eat.
What the crap am I doing back in Dublin? I'm not long for this country I think...

Not this time I'm afraid :( Not enough time (damn Mayo match!) after spending so much walking around the town and up at the Schloss.

i wish i had have stayed longer in Heidelberg. hehe about Philosophers Walk, i was waiting for u to come back and start swearing at me for suggesting it. I didnt make it to the walk. We had to walk up which seemed like several flights of cobbled stones and still ended up walking back down because we were wrecked and out of breath and basically couldnt be bothered trying to find the walk :p glad u had fun though!
